Waterford Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals was founded in 1870. On January 1st, 2023 it merged with ISPCA to become ISPCA Waterford.
We are a registered charity no. 2008734 and are funded by grant funding, donations and the proceeds of fundraising events held throughout the year such as street collections, auctions, and jumble sales.
What We Do
We find homes for animals taken into our care, mainly as a result of cruelty, neglect, or irresponsible breeding.
We run a neutering scheme whereby we contribute to the cost of neutering of pets for people who cannot afford the full price.
Educate The Public
Our aim is to educate the public about animal welfare. Visits to schools, and various community groups are arranged on request.
Lost & Found
We offer a way for the public to report missing animals to us so they can be returned safely to their owners.
